Curafides

Digital innovation in care and support – from the idea to a validated platform.

The mission

Curafides was an innovative startup in the field of care and support. Our goal was to address a long-known and ever-present problem – the severe shortage of care and support staff – through targeted digitalisation, and thereby create a noticeably better care situation.

We developed an independent care marketplace that connects people in need of care and their relatives directly with qualified support staff. Trust, quality assurance and ease of use were at the heart of the platform architecture.

01 — Starting point

The challenge

Building a digital platform to support people in need of care and their relatives — with high demands on trust, moderation and governance. In a sensitive, socially relevant environment, every interaction had to be secure, traceable and quality-assured.

02 — Solution & architecture

Trust as an architectural principle

  • Architecture design of a trust-based, two-sided platform (a marketplace for supply and demand)
  • Concepts for abuse prevention, moderation and quality assurance
  • Technical foundation for scalable operation & secure communication between all parties
03 — Outcome

A validated platform architecture in a sensitive, socially relevant context. Nominated as a top-6 startup for the EU Parliament. Deep experience in governance, trust & safety of digital systems.

Press & media

In the media

As founder and managing director of the platform, I had the privilege of watching our vision take shape together with my dedicated team. With Curafides we were regularly featured in the press, raising industry-wide awareness of the pressing needs in care and of our digital solution.

Thanks again to my entire team for this great, intense and incredibly instructive experience.
